This was our first time staying on a property inside of Colonial Williamsburg itself. The rooms were clean, roomy, and had nice amenities. We will absolutely be staying with Woodlands again! Everyone was extremely helpful and accommodating, which is really important for me, as I am disabled. This hotel, and especially the staff, will make your stay memorable. I can't thank everyone there enough!

We stayed here the weekend before Christmas as a quick holiday trip for our family. The hotel is definitely older with paper thin walls and scratchy sheets, but it was clean, at least. The continental breakfast was so-so. It consisted of some fruits, bagels, cereal, boiled eggs, and a breakfast sandwich. There were a few fun Christmas activities planned while we were there, including a visit from Santa and festive music being played in the lobby. One great benefit was the two free tickets into Colonial Williamsburg and the close walking distance to get there. While we enjoyed our stay, we will likely look for a different hotel if we choose to visit the area again.

We stayed at the Woodlands for the convenience during Illumination weekend. We had a room with two double beds. I will say Double beds are too small. Equivalent to a twin plus about a foot. There was also a chair that was a pull out bed. There was a very mini fridge. Also daily housekeeping. The room was very clean. Outdated but clean. The room was quite small though. One two drawer dresser and a small closet. No cabinet in the sink area. The lobby was nicely decorated and had a fireplace with many seating areas to play games or visit. The staff was polite and efficient. I only had breakfast there one morning. It was the usual hotel breakfast but a step up. The breakfast room was large and bright. There was a variety of fruit and bread items plus grab and go hot breakfast biscuits. Overall the Woodlands was nice enough. It’s within walking distance on a safe path to the historic area. Also Steps from the visitor center to catch the bus. It does need updating though. Some investment needs to be made in this CW resort hotel. It’s a good option for families. There’s pool and play areas for the summer. Overall it’s a good for a convenient reasonably priced ( compared to the other CW properties) hotel option. I’ll be honest though, for about the same price I usually stay at the Marriott at Fords Colony in a one bedroom with living room villa with full kitchen and it also has pools and activities.

Although this is an older hotel, it's been well maintained and is clean. Staff were super friendly, and they accept pets so we could have our dog with us. The bus picks up from the Visitor Center, which is at the hotel and we got two complimentary passes to Colonial Williamsburg! We stayed a couple of days before Christmas and had a lot of fun. We will definitely stay here again.

This is our first time staying at the Colonial Williamsburg Woodlands Hotel and Suites and we are very well pleased. The hotel and setting are lovely and very convenient to the shuttle service. Our room was very large, comfortable and had adequate storage for all of our clothes. The complementary breakfast is nice and all of the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. This is a great resort and very convenient.

This hotel was the perfect place for us and the dogs. Free daily breakfast with a couple of options and good coffee, right next to the visitor's center where you can catch the shuttle, and amazing customer service. Rooms are a little dated but still have everything you need. Shoutout to Jennifer from the front desk and Thaddeus- your kindness, professionalism, and customer service were just amazing.

Pool was beautiful and big. Had fun sculpture water fountains. It’s a huge location with lots of greenery and walking path. Had lots of breakfast options. Only downside there wasn’t any plain omelette or egg. Only a breakfast burrito inside its plastic wrapper warmed in a hot food box, which isn’t safe to eat hot plastic that goes into the food. Also they should include some vegetables like carrots or anything healthy. Though! They did have lots of fruit though, Strawberries (which went quick) melons, etc which was amazing compared to usual red apples and bananas (which they had that too). Other options I remember was cereal, waffle, bagel, muffin, which you can toast. The only reason I took a star off was cause the rooms compared to other hotels I went felt a little old and wasn’t super clean. Had a bit of a wet smell but I was also on the first floor and stayed on the side where there was pets allowed. Pets were comfortable enough but not as comfortable as the holiday inn I went to. Staff front desk was very helpful and the cleaners all were super friendly when you would walk by them compared to some places. There is a lot too this place but rooms can definitely get an upgrade.

The room was clean and modern enough. It does take several minutes to get hit water out of the bath/shower on the second floor. The included continental breakfast is nice and includes what most average Americans would want including coffee, juice, bagels, fruit, toast, cereal, and heated egg-based products. They also had some hard boiled eggs, which I don't often see and was a nice surprise. It would be nice to see some options that do not include sugar, like simple plain oats and a simple water fountain or bottle fill station in the lobby. Their tap water tastes funny and I hate paying for bottled water. We tried the mini golf and had fun with that for a bit. Easy parking. Service was very professional.
